I initially created this blog to support the presentations, workshops, discussion groups and lectures I delivered for the English for the Environment Project sponsored by the US English Language Specialist Program in the fall of 2014. The countries that were specifically involved in the project include Albania, Hungary, Poland, Estonia and Slovakia. It is my hope that educators, students and citizens of our favorite planet will continue to benefit from the links, lessons, ideas and strategies included. I have continued to add material and new topics.
The tabs at the top show the general title for various topics related to environmental issues. Click on a tab and you will find a static page with links to videos, audio recordings, websites, activities, lesson plans, articles and more. Please note that for most links, I indicated that the link should open in a separate window. This means that you may have to right click your mouse and request another window. This way, you can close the link and the blog will remain open. So if you click and it looks like the link is broken, remember to right-click for a new window–I hope you will find all the links intact and will find this site rich and valuable resource for you as you integrate green issues into your lessons!
